This document explains how to set up your SLMR or OLX mail reader to dump
each message you want saved directly into OLPRINT.
This eliminates the need to save your messages to a text file and then copy them
over to Olprint.
This way is much more convenient for you and makes OLPRINT sing when it comes
to loading in your messages.
Some people have multiple files they save their messages to.
This is no longer needed with OLPRINT.
Some of you use different methods for saving messages.
What I am going to do next is show you a whole new way of doing it that will
simplify your message keeping.
Once you have set up your mail reader with Olprint, you will never have to
copy or move any message files that are saved in this fashion, which means
that when you leave your mail reader, you will be able to run Olprint and your
new messages will be instantly loadable and waiting for you in a file named
`$CURRENT.TXT' --ready to view/print/parse or archive.
Please do not erase the file named `$CURRENT.TXT' for any reason.
< Olprint needs this to begin a new `$CURRENT.TXT' after a parse.>
Olprint will manipulate it for you. The file size and date may change but it
is a big "no,no" to erase it or load it into a wordprocessor and change it.
Just ask Helen..everything will get off kilter and your CPU will lock up!
It is assumed at this point that you have already run 'SETUPOLP.EXE'
If you haven't, then please do so pronto as the setup program is needed.
You cannot dump messages to Olprint from your mail reader until you have
run 'SETUPOLP.EXE'
Assuming that you have already run SETUPOLP..... let's move on.
If you are using SLMR or OLX then go ahead and run it and follow these
directions.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Once your SLMR/OLX program is loaded, press ALT+C (Slmr) or ALT+N (Olx)
Below is most likely the screen you will see when you press these keys.
I have altered it slightly for this document.

This will put you into the Function keys setup window shown below.

║ (This has been altered for the document). ▒
║ What we are most concerned with is picking a function key to do the ▒
║ work and eliminate the need for the @save command. ▒
║ Simply pick the key you would normally use to save your messages and ▒
║ replace the text with "OLPREP" then choose another key and type ▒
║ "OLPVSAVE". (This program lets you see what you saved.) ▒
║ Press F10 and save it and there you go! ▒

╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝
"OLPREP" will save your current message to OLPRINT.
"OLPVSAVE" will allow you to see what messages you saved (in case you forgot)
-because right now there is no way for Olprint to notify your mail reader
that a message has been saved, therefore the message will not be marked as
`saved' by your mailreader.
Please make sure that you spelled everything exactly as it should be.
Don't forget to exit your mail reader first before you try to use the new
setup.
(small bug in OLX/SLMR that does not reload the configuration during run time).
This error does happen infrequently....
Please do everything in this document as stated and you will be a happy camper.
Thanks :)

P.S....
Some of use the Alt+S to save messages..
This is no longer needed if you follow the example above.
If you are one of those people that have used different configurations for
saving different messages from different conferences then fear not! Just dump
everything to Olprint and let it sort it out for you. :)
Helen & I Love this program and we hope you will too!
P.P.S....
IF YOU HAVE A HARD TIME SEEING LIKE MANY OF US, THEN ADD THIS TO THE FUNCTION
KEY THAT CONTAINS THE OLPREP PROGRAM.
F5 OLPREP BIG
WHEN YOU RUN OLPREP WITH THE "BIG" ADDED IT WILL CONVERT ALL LETTERS TO UPPER
CASE WHICH SHOULD HELP.
